Chicago Bears Honor Jose Rico During Hispanic Heritage Month

The Chicago Bears honored Senior Vice President of Community Investment at the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago Jose Rico as the recipient of the NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award. The NFL and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) partnered for the fifth annual NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Awards during the 2015 celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The Bears honored Rico on October 4th during a game between the Oakland Raiders. Rico is a seasoned community leader and school administrator with extensive public policy and implementation experience. Recently, Rico was the Director of the Illinois Center for School Improvement, whose mission is to lead the delivery of high-quality, research-based statewide support services to raise student performance.

Social Responsibility Chicago Annual Conference

On October 27, 2015, Jose Rico joined the CR Group and host the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago to discuss the impact of the budget crisis on human service programs and the advocacy work being done to urge Springfield to act.
